It's that time of the year, again, when it's wet more often than not and ya gotta seek shelter from the storm that's a-coming just to get a little shredding in. On this particular Sunday Funday night I decided to bust out the bench for a late night sesh. Thankfully the homies, Gene & Daniel, were down with the get down cuz it was quite brisk. What's good Fammalamm?! I know it's been a minute since I've updated this ish and I promise more edits are on the way. I'll have more time to edit since it's getting darker earlier and "Winter is coming!" I don't really have a back story for this Oakland vid other than it was the day after I got back from a trip to Hawaii after my Grandpa had passed. It was a pretty shitty time(lost my Grandpa, lost some friends, & quit my job) and I was just happy to be out of town shredding with my homies. Below are random photos I found on my hard drive that are Oakland-related. Enjoy.

This one day Casey Waits and I were talking about slow motion videos. We had talked about how rad it would be to film an all slow motion video and have the music be chopped n screwed. We thought it was hilarious.

Well, the other day I found a folder of clips I had filmed at Monte Rio park way before the park had even opened. Whenever I would try to edit the clips I couldn't figure out why the clips would playback in slo-mo after I had converted them.

I ended up misplacing that folder somehow in between backing up files onto an external drive. I just completely forgot about those clips until I came across them the other day.

Fast forward to a few days ago and I'm attempting to edit a folder of a different Monte Rio sesh and thought I'd throw those other clips in, forgetting about all the frame rate bologna.

 I soon figured out  I had actually filmed the clips in 960p with a frame rate of 100fps because when I would convert the old clips at 60fps with all the new clips, the old ones would playback at half the speed.

Anyways, I dedicate the slo-mo intro to Casey cuz it was sorta his idea, even though the whole thing isn't in slo-mo.

And thanks to Bob Bertolini aka BOBBA RANKS(Fuck his dad) for inspiring the tasty score of this 'made for internet shredit.' K, shoots, that's enough of me rambling...crack a brew, light up ya spliffs cuz you're about to press play and I've got you for 20 minutes!

NFTB JAM 2014

On September 3rd, 2014 the Santa Rosa community and Rosa Park Famm lost a brother. Tyler Brattin was a little brother to all the lives he had touched. To celebrate Tyler's life friends and family got together at Santa Rosa Skatepark to have a Memorial Jam/BBQ all day. It was a beautiful sunny day full of faces old and new, all there to ride for Tyler. I hadn't seen most of these guys in years so it was like a Rosa Park reunion of sorts. People came from all over to pay their respects to the young man that we all love and cherish dearly. Below are just some of the photos I have from the NFTB Jam. I even had enough footage of the festivities to put an edit together. Enjoy and RIDE FOR TYLER! NFTB!

OULK Bangin' Westside @ SoMa West

Ever since it opened (7/1/2014), I've been trying as often as I can to get down to the new SoMa West Skate Park in San Francisco to get HOT ROD with my folks. This park is a breathe of fresh air for the locals of SF, even though the whole city really is a humongous skatepark on hills, I'm sure it's nice to have another spot the locals can go to shred without the hassle of security guards and the fuzz you would normally encounter elsewhere in the city. Here' s a montage of recent U-Turn tours made down to SoMa West featuring ONE HUNDRED PERCENT HOT ROD STUNTS by Philly McGilly, Eddy Mon$, Antonio Carlos, Mickey Ridenbaugh, Danny Nguyen, & a bunch of a SoMa park locs. If you get a chance to pack a van full of rippers and head down there, I highly suggest you do cuz the place is fucking fun brah; so many rad obstacles to fart around on with yo homeboys!
